Five ways to add wow to your toddlers outfit

Having your little one looking gorgeous can take its toll on the bank account. Here are some creative ideas that will jazz up any outfit for under $2!

The classy floppy ribbon bow smartens any look - Loosely tie a bow around the collar. Voila!
If you want to create a bow with a thicker width, try pinning it at the center of the collar, rather than threading it under the collar. This will prevent any bulk under the collar.

Any A-line or shift dress can be enhanced with a thick sash. This can be as easy as using a 60 mm satin or grosgrain ribbon.

Don't forget to fray stop or melt the ends with a candle.

For the daring -  A detachable peter pan collar can be an effective feature with a sweater or cardi. Click here for easy to make patterns.  Click here for a great tutorial.
Or for the crochet fans - some gorgeous patterns can be found here.

Tassels are the perfect embellishment for a summer dress. Simply stitch along sleeve edges, frill hems, or arrange creatively on the bodice. Whether you use single tassels or a string of tassels, the options are endless.
They work for little boys too: try attaching to the bottoms of trouser legs, on hoodie points and to socks!

A plaid scarf is an autumn staple .....who knew they could be so easy to make!

1. Simply cut your scarf to shape (following grain direction)
2. Edge with zig zag stitch to [revet frayin (optional)
3. Using a seam ripper/quick unpick carefully pull horizontal threads from the edges. Continue until the fringe has reached the desired length.
4. Repeat on all edges of the scarf.
